The landlady was friendly and easygoing, the food was delicious (especially the rice), and it was a lovely, heartwarming guesthouse. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to experience life on the Oki Islands.
The staff were very kind and it was nice.
I visited for a two-day, one-night sightseeing trip, but unfortunately it rained on the first day.
When I arrived soaking wet, they immediately lent me a towel and showed me to the bathroom, and I was very grateful for their thoughtfulness.
I was using an Okitaku ferry ticket this time, and when I had trouble obtaining my ticket due to a malfunction on my device, they checked with the relevant parties and I was able to board the ship safely.
The food was also very delicious, and the tamagoyaki in particular was exquisite.
The building itself has a sense of its age, but it is quaint and reminds me of my grandparents' house, and I would like to visit again.
We used this hotel as a base for a 3-day, 2-night trip touring the Oki Islands. The food was delicious, and there was a liquor store just a short walk away, so we had a drink that night. However, since it was peak season and we only had a meal plan, we couldn't pop into a nearby izakaya. However, we were able to make a reservation at the last minute, so we were very happy.
